Old Hospital Rotary Park

A nice and quiet picnic area in a small, well maintained, park.

Lions Park

A beautiful park in a lovely river valley with numerous picnic tables and picnic shelters.

Gopher Park

Canada, Alberta, Calgary

There's picnic tables, but not much else. Unless you enjoy watching freight trains switch at the CPR yards, there isn't a lot here to raise the spirits.

Pinawa Dam Provincial Park

Once you realize that you're picnicking in the remains of a ghost town, this picnic site gets a lot more interesting. The trees hint at the location of the old roads and houses that would have been around you. It's also fun to explore the dam and rapids upstream of the dam.

Whiteshell River

The lack of facilities here is made of by the beautiful scenery. Somewhat out of the way, and likely forgotten about (except by anglers), this is a nice quiet spot to enjoy a picnic.

St. Vital Park

Between the gardens, duck pond, and pavilion, this is a beautiful spot within Winnipeg to enjoy a picnic. There are lots of sheltered picnic spots great for either finding shade or staying out of the rain.

Fish Creek Park - Hull's Wood

Canada, Alberta, Calgary

Beautiful shaded picnic sites with fit pits and picnic tables where you can enjoy a beer. One of the better places you can find in Calgary.

Piapot Rest Area

Canada, Saskatchewan, Maple Creek

An rather sad picnic area, there's only two tables despite numerous vehicles stopping here. More picnic tables, and picnic tables in the shade would greatly improve this rest stop.
