Description

Just east of White Lake, the Whiteshell River crosses Highway 307 at a flood control structure. Alongside the highway there's a popular picnic area with anglers, which has a picnic table, picnic shelter, and an outhouse.

From this point you can launch canoes / kayaks below the dam and paddle to Betula lake or launch above the dam and paddle to White Lake. The Trans Canada Trail also runs through the area if you want to go for a hike.

The lack of facilities here is made of by the beautiful scenery. Somewhat out of the way, and likely forgotten about (except by anglers), this is a nice quiet spot to enjoy a picnic.
