Lillian Lake is popular, both with mountain bikers and with stand up paddle boarders, so this picnic site can be crowded on a hot day. However, the views, the warm water, and the great location make it hard to beat. If the beach in Invermere is too crowded for your tastes, I recommend checking this site out.

The picnic sites behind the visitors center are located in a beautiful grove of pine trees and have nice shade in the summer. While there aren't any spectacular views from the picnic tables, it's a short walk from here to any of the parks any other attractions.

Kind of an awkward picnic spot, surrounded by roads and rails on three sides with a giant banana watching you eat. That having been said, I doubt it would ever be busy here so that's a bonus.

This picnic site is fairly quiet and out of the way, making it easy to get a table, but also has great scenery despite being in the middle of town.

North Glenmore park is incredibly busy and popular, despite being somewhat barren. The views of the reservoir are a nice change from those of other city parks, but also lead to fairly windy picnic areas. Be sure to arrive early since the picnic sites fill up fast each day.

A beautiful area with picnic tables along the banks of the river. There's enough picnic tables that there is rarely any issue finding one. Alcohol is also a plus.

A bit out of the way, but that keeps the crowds away. The picnic tables have a great view of the falls with the mountains in the background.

The lovely scenery makes this a very relaxing picnic location. If it wasn't for the sound of traffic nearby, you could easily forget that you are in the city.
