Sun and sand on the Winnipeg River, Dorothy Lake provides beach goers with a place to picnic and their children a place to play once they've had enough time in the water.
Here you can find a sandy beach on the lake, which tends to have warm clean water. There are picnic tables, fire pits and outhouses for picnicking; and a number of different play structures for the kids. If the beach isn't for you, check out the Trans Canada Trail, which parallels highway 307 on the opposite side of the road from the beach.
There is a boat launch no too far away, east on Highway 307, and if you want to stay the night there are lots of resorts (the closest being Pinewood Resort) and campgrounds (the closest being Opapiskaw and Otter Falls).
