Description

This rest area is named after Camp Hughes, a nearby military site which was used as a training camp between 1909 and 1934, and later as a communications station from the 1960s to 1991.

Half hidden and screened in by pine trees this wayside picnic area is on the north side of the Trans Canada Highway west of Carberry and features picnic tables, a picnic shelter, and a washroom.
