Description

Located where Dolly Varden Creek meets the Kootenay River, the Dolly Varden day use area has some trails which lead to the creek and the river (take the man gate through the fence) and also a interpretive display of how the wildlife fence along the highway works. The interpretive display is a quasi playground, in that it has some trails and a tunnel that kids can run around a bit.

This picnic area has picnic tables, a picnic shelter for when the unpredictable mountain weather turns poor, and pit toilets.
