Tombstone Backcountry Campground

Description

Tombstone Campground is located in Kananaskis Country, Alberta, Canada. Situated within the Canadian Rockies, this campground offers a basic and rustic camping experience.

Tombstone campground is accessible via a moderately challenging hiking trail that covers a distance of approximately 7.6 kilometers one way with 214 meters of elevation gain. The trailhead begins at the Elbow Pass Day Use Area and follows a well-maintained path through the forest, quickly gaining elevation before plateauing and following the Elbow pass valley.

Tombstone Campground is known for its natural surroundings and proximity to outdoor recreational activities, such as hiking and wildlife viewing. Hiking trails in the area provide access to scenic landscapes and alpine lakes. Nearby trails include:
