Description
With lots of parking and lots of picnic tables, Cascade Ponds is able to accomodate a lot of picnickers. That having been said, this is a popular location so try to arrive early.
The fact that there are also fire pits (a rare commodity in Banff) also makes this picnic site special.
The picnic sites are clustered around Cascade Ponds, a scenic body of water nestled in the mountains. There are trails snaking around the ponds if you want to go for a stroll, and if you're feeling adventurous you can try swimming in the water.

Very scenic! Lots of picnic tables with views over the ponds. Lovely stream running through the site with a walking path that lets you explore the area.
